A specific version of the software can be downloaded for free.

The free version features a fully functional reverseXSL Parser using a fixed target namespace (no namespace management) and fixed thresholds of tolerance to parsing errors; in addition, the combination of XSL Transformation steps with Parsing steps is not available, but you can transform any character-based file or message (CSV, EDI, Text, fixed records, flat file, EDIFACT, X12, TRADACOMS, IATA, etc.) to nicely laid-out XML documents. Full parsing capabilities are available without limitations. Details are documented in Help Pages: Free SW Limitations.

Maintenance and warranties

The software has been developed by senior java developers strong of a long expertise in data transformation, and committed to the highest quality. The Software is used since several years in a mission critical messaging environment where it demonstrates complete stability and reliability every day.

The software is distributed with a permanent bug-free warranty to customary and source code license owners. These customers are entitled to get free support regarding software fixes for which a reverseXSL software component would be in fault. 

Customary license

Customary licenses support all documented features. You can buy it online.

The software is delivered as a java archive (.jar file) containing obfuscated code sections. It is packed with command-line tools and scripts for demonstration and development purposes. (A native .NET assembly package is in preparation).

Licensing is not based on the count of CPUs or computers, but linked to the base-namespace(s) of the XML documents generated by the Parsing step.

This originality is worth a word of explanation.

Typically, the XML documents generated by the reverseXSL Parser in local schemas would all be linked to the company domain via target namespaces like "http://myCompany.com/XML/v1/someSchema", "http://myCompany.com/XML/v1/anotherSchema", and so forth. Only the base "http://myCompany.com" requires activation in such a context.

Even a large company produces XML documents in a limited number of namespace domains: its own local formats, plus a set from the diverse XML industry standards in use by the company, plus a few partners imposing schemas. A first base namespace is registered with the license and this is the only one traced in your account. The customary software requires the activation of additional base namespaces as need arises. License validity is verified online, an activation counter is incremented for statistical purposes, but no new information will be stored. (We mean here only the base namespaces of XML schema collections, and not all variant schema suffixes, and only about generated XML documents—the receive side is free.) If activation is a concern, likely because you plan to use the software in a stringent operational environment, you may like to consider a source code purchase for a very small fraction of the cost of development of this software.

Except for the spot-type, a single license can equip any number of computers at the development, test and production stages.

Pricing starts at 50 USD (limited to single fixed namespace and workstation), up to less than 1000 USD for a site license with unlimited base namespace activations. A one-of bargain when divided by the number of computers you can equip.

Source code license

Industries than plan to use the Software in business critical operations are offered to purchase the source code, in order to satisfy their software auditing, operational, sustainability, and risk mitigation requirements.
